"An Estimate of the Value and Influence of Works of Fiction in Modern Times" is a literary criticism of the fictional works written up to the 19th century, a work by author and university professor Thomas Hill Green. Green was made a professor by his election to the Whyte's professorship of moral philosophy at Oxford University. Green's work covers the evolution of the technical aspects of literature over the course of modern history.
