I finished this book in two days flat. Rich charactes, amazing plot and wonderfully English. Increadibly clever!

This book was published 1992, but feels terrifyingly accurate 2021. Except a few things that were hard to predict, like the invention of cellphones and GPS, the author has created a future world that feels very real. As well as a detailed description of life in the middle ages. The author must have a very good knowledge of human society, psycology and history. The only downside are some of the annoying side characters which feel one-dimensional, more like comic relief than real human beings. On the other side, maybe you need some laughs in between the tears?

She may not have predicted the existence of cell phones, but when it comes to toilet paper obsession in case of a pandemic, she was absolutely spot on.

Men väl värd mödan.
