Emma Woodhouse is one of Austens most captivating and vivid characters. Beautiful, spoilt, vain and irrepressibly witty, Emma organizes the lives of the inhabitants of her sleepy little village and plays matchmaker with devastating effect. Jane Austen teased readers with the idea of a heroine whom no one but myself will much like, but Emma is irresistible.
