Green Tea is a gothic story by nineteenth-century Irish writer Sheridan Le Fanu. The story was published in the collection In a Glass Darkly. The collection presents a group of narratives reported by a German physician, Dr. Hesselius. The doctor is interested in exploring the relationship between the unconscious and the supernatural. In "Green Tea," Dr. Hesselius considers a case of a well-to-do bachelor and a vicar that suffers recurrent visions of a monkey, penetrating with his daily routines.
