Me + Max Monroe book = 🥰 -usually, BUT: Their hot alpha heroes in suits, scrubs, cleats or nothing at all, paired with the absolute power house ladies they are drawn to, have entertained and engaged me throughout lots and lots of books. Grumpy Cowboy, however, just lacked the Max Monroe-vibe I was craving. My expectations might have been too high, but a back catalogue of 4-5 star reads will do that. I could go on and nitpick and dissect the story, the characters and the all around feel of the story. I could list all flaws and what truly irks me and drag it all through the Utah dust it’s set in, but it won’t make it any more fun to read. Sorry. So I’ll just leave it at this and hope my next Max Monroe reading experience is a better one. I still love plenty more of their books, than the ones that disappoint, so I’ll hope for the best and not kick this Grumpy Cowboy when he’s down. I’ve noticed I’m not the only one not jumping on this particular bandwagon.

I really loved this book and I thought it and the mc’s were hilarious 😂 The scene with the bull collecting… yeah you know, had me laughing so hard 😂 I hope this is the start of a new series 🙂
