As followers of Christ, we must be willing to say NO, especially when correcting injustices we encounter in life. When Jesus saw injustice in the temple, He took extreme action. By following His example, we learn how and when to Say Yes to Saying NO.

By feeding the 4,000, Jesus showed us how to say yes to compassion. Never just a feeling, compassion is an internal reaction that leads to external action. Jesus’ compassion was followed by action. We are to live lives marked by active compassion.

Though His time had endless demands, Jesus modeled the importance of rest. Our culture is obsessed with busyness, but sacrificing rest means ignoring His example. Jesus doesn’t invite us into laziness, but He does invite into a regular, quiet rhythm.

When the disciples panicked during a violent storm, Jesus was at peace. He calmed both the sea and their inner fear, telling them to choose faith. Facing our own storms, Jesus tells us, “Choose faith in Me, and a sense of calm will eventually come.”

Despite constant crowds, Jesus sought solitude to connect with the Author of Life. Our Heavenly Father still speaks, but His voice is hard to hear in the chaos of culture. Solitude isn't optional; it's the priority everything else gets built on.
