Can Death die?

Someone is trying to kill Death. As in the Grim Reaper, San La Muerte, King Yama, Maveth, Death. Yeah, that guy.

But if Death dies, who takes his place? That is the eternal question. Maine is hoping to avoid finding out the answer.

She and Noff have taken on the harbinger of souls as their client, vowing to protect him as he competes in The Conjuring—the high stakes card game played by supernatural beings.

Death is the reigning champion, and he has everything to lose.

Participating in the event requires him to be vulnerable, and someone is gunning for him. Who is anyone's guess. But when you are the literal end to everyone and everything, you tend to rack up the enemies.

Can Maine and Noff save Death from dying? Death, mythical creatures, and card-games . . . It's going to be one hell of a con.
