This was a truly romantic feel good-slowburn, that kept a smile (or smirk) on my face most of my time listening. I loved both the MCs and the premise, promising lots of fun banter and heat between them in an established setting among great characters. The author has created two incredible MCs who are flawed yet wonderful and so dense and full of life you truly feel you know them. She’s also managed to craft a scenario these people with clearly different lifestyles and mismatched phases in life seamlessly start merging in an organic and unconscious way. Wether you’re read the True North books, the Buzy Bean series or any of the Speakeasy books, or not, this read will give you that warm “coming home”-vibe, being placed in such a well crafted story-verse. I’ll ad that with thoroughly heartfelt and honest writing that touched on several heavy topics in a lighthearted yet genuine way, this became one of my favourites in the three connected series and really stands out in comparison.

I really like the slow burn romance aspect of this book. It's very nicely done. What I don't like is that the FMC comes off as an insecure and self absorbed brat. The MMC has his issues but comes across as an angel compared to her. I much prefer stronger female characters.
