#1 The writer was taken to Wrestlers Court, a tradition among the wrestlers to police themselves when someone broke an unwritten backstage rule. The charges were completely baseless, but the writer was accused of accepting gifts from the popular tag team of Edge and Christian in exchange for television airtime.

#2 The idea that wrestlers and writers can’t be friends is based on the fact that the relationship is not based on friendship but rather what can they do for each other’s careers. When I started with the company in 1999, Edge and Christian were the classic great matches, no personality tag team guys.

#3 I was writing Edge and Christian onto TV, and while the charges were completely baseless, there was at least some truth to why Bob was angry. Back at the arena, I made my case to Vince to avoid the trial altogether.

#4 I was told that the trial would be a tribunal, not a court. It was over a hundred people, all staring at me as I walked in holding my single box of pizza and six-pack of beer. The prosecutor was John Bradshaw Layfield, one of the toughest guys in the locker room. The judge was the Undertaker.
