Jessica Starr was 26 years old when she was murdered outside the trailer she was staying at in 2011. Despite friends and family having theories as to what happened, they feel that police in Elkhart, Indiana, have all but abandoned them in their search for justice.

When Maggie and Paul Murdaugh are killed on their family’s estate in 2021, the investigation unravels a history of privilege, corruption, and suspicious deaths tied to one of South Carolina’s most influential families. But beneath the headlines and courtroom drama are stories of people who never got justice, mysteries still unsolved, and a justice system that let one family operate above the law for nearly a century.  • In 2023, South Carolina law enforcement officially declared Stephen Smith’s death a homicide, rather than a traffic accident, but still, it’s never been fully explained and no one has ever been arrested in connection with it.  • Mallory’s family was eventually able to settle a lawsuit with one of the places that served Paul that night, with Maggie’s estate and with Buster. No one has ever been put behind bars.

INFAMOUS: The Mulholland Drive Murders

Police thought they solved Dawn Mozino’s 1989 disappearance when they found out she knew a convicted serial killer. But in her diary, Dawn wrote of not one, but two love triangles that might actually lead police to different suspects.

On Valentine’s Day in 2007, 39-year-old Jodine Serrin was brutally murdered and desecrated in her own bed – while her parents were just down the hall. Over the next 10 years, using new forensic techniques, the Carlsbad Police Department identified her killer.
