The Handbook of Surface Treatment Processes

Surface treatment is the systematic change of material properties by applying different types of materials using physical, chemical, or physical-chemical processes. The aim is to achieve a product surface more resistant to external atmospheric influences, better durability, and wearability. Surface treatment improves corrosion and abrasion resistance, hardness, and visual appearance.

This book increase general awareness of surface treatments and add missing bits of information to coating professionals. It describes individual surface treatments used in industrial companies.
