Patti Smith
Hennes litterära genombrott kom med den självbiografiska debuten Just kids (2010). Efter den har hon skrivit ett flertal titlar, såväl skönlitterära som poesisamlingar. Ett urval är Hängiven och Mtrain. Nu är Patti Smith aktuell med Apans år. År 2011 tilldelas hon det prerstigefulla Polar Music Prize i Stockholm. Hon bor i New York med sina två barn, Jackson och Jesse.
Patti Smith föddes i Chicago 1946. Hon är poet, konstnär och och en av världens störta musikartister. Hennes stora genombrott kom 1975 med skivan Horses. År 2005 tilldelade franska staten henne utmärkelsen Commandeur de l'Ordre des Arts et Lettres för att hon bidragit till utvecklingen av konsten i världen.
