I was supposed to start college next year, but after being given a ticket to Cairo as a high school graduation present, I skipped the ceremony and jumped on the plane. My name is Mary Fallon. I'm eighteen years old, and for as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by ancient Egypt.

I'm staying with my best friend, Carol, who's working as a photographer in an Old Kingdom burial ground, where her Egyptologist boss is on the trail of a major discovery. But someone much more powerful than the Antiquities Department seems to have gotten wind of it and, for some mysterious reason, he is also intensely interested in me and the dreams I have begun having.

I could never have imagined the experiences awaiting me here in the ancient land of the pharaohs, including having my first lucid dream. You see, I'm discovering that Spiritual Warfare isn't a video game but the reality we live in, both awake and asleep. You won't find the front lines on any map, because the battles are fought in our hearts and minds, and some of them can be dangerously pleasurable. It's a good thing I'm not fighting alone.

My name is Mary Fallon, I'm eighteen years old, and a few months ago, I came to Egypt to visit my best friend Carol. As it turns out, I never left, because I fell in love with a young Archaeologist, and with God, whose immense love I first experienced in a dream when I took a nap in an ancient tomb. I can hardly believe I'm an Egyptologist's Admin now, living luxuriously by myself in an apartment on loan to my boss by the mysterious Matthew J. Waters while he's away in Europe.

Being in Cairo is thrilling, but I'm also beginning to realize how dangerous it can be. My lucid dreams are intensifying, and they seem to be making me more lucid in my waking life as well because I'm rationally questioning concepts I always took for granted, reincarnation for example. Carol is expecting a baby, while I'm expecting and hoping Steve will soon be more than just my boyfriend. The only problem is that Owen, a beautiful yet sinister lucid dreamer, can't seem to take no for an answer.
