3.5 STARS - A nice, fun and good enough SEP romance — Two grownups, a enemy to lovers topic, a grumpy gorgeous hero and a snobbish orderly, very pedantic, suspicious but somewhat love-bitter heroine. All in all a contemporary romance from 2002 in the traditional “romcom” style by the always great author Susan Elizabeth Phillips (SEP) — Breathing Room wasn’t great, not on the highest five stars SEP quality, but still with a great and truly terrific narrator (Kate Fleming aka Anna Fields) and all in all was it a funny, witty, sweet and very heart touching enjoying contemporary. — Not to forget: It took me a time to do these ten audiobook hours but it wasn’t because of my interest in the book just my traveling summer vacation life. ... Still, as always when reading SEP romances, I really like her style and this “sweet” romance genre. — It will be many more.

Funny, crazy story with a lot of wisdom as usual. Susan Elizabeth Phillips is the master of this genre. More famous authors like Nora Roberts or Marian Keyes are no match for her. This is not her best book but it was still a great and heartwarming read. It gave me some insights about my own life.
