It finished on a cliffhanger 😭It's an interesting concept and a beautiful kind of story.Set in a future world with powerful beings, awoken by the damage humans did to the world. This isn't well known, but it helps when they mention electricity and you wonder which age this is based on. Anyway, the world isn't destroyed, not really, but it's no longer the advanced world eating up nature. Instead, there are High borns and Low borns. High borns being god-like creatures and rulers over the land. We meet our FMC first in a orphanage, we follow her to her life in her 20s. She has her friend from that time in the orphanage, and they both live in a home owned by a Baron. This world is full of feasts, both food and sensual. Oh, and the FMC has powers. The antihero MMC is worth reading about, too. Yes, he is an alphahole, but when you find out why, it kinda makes total sense. I say antihero, but the way the book ended, he may be the villain as well.Oh, and spicy!!! It was so spicy!
