Fog

As the ocean liner Barbaric departs New York into a thick October fog, an eclectic mix of passengers settle in for the Atlantic crossing. Among them are Alonzo Holt, a combative old millionaire in fragile health; Madame Alva, a psychic medium to high society with a shadowy past; and Wentworth Brown, a guarded young scientist whose watchful presence hints at hidden motives.

The fog deepens, isolating the ship and its passengers in a claustrophobic world of drifting mist and echoing foghorns. Strange encounters, whispered suspicions, and a sudden, shocking crime transform the Barbaric into a floating pressure cooker of tension and fear. As the ship steams on, Brown finds himself drawn into a dangerous puzzle where every cabin holds a secret and trust is a luxury no one can afford.
