Sleight of Hand

Picture this:

One drink, one look, and the BEST no-strings-attached night with a guy I met at the hotel bar.

But then he comes out of the bathroom with a fake wedding ring on talking about not being able to stick around because he has carpool duty the next morning.

I get it.

I was a little excited about the idea of hooking up a second time. I know he thought he needed to get rid of me, but he took it too far.

As if that wasn’t humiliating enough, I show up to interview for my new job the next day, and he’s sitting in the breakroom.

How can I work with the man now?
