Enjoy two stories featuring squirrels:

• Story #1: “Earl the Fighting Squirrel.” Earl the fighting squirrel bullies the other squirrels in the park. They tell him that there’s not enough room for all of them, and Earl leaves, with his tail proudly arched. Earl goes to the next park over, which is a dog park with no trees. There, the dogs mercilessly chase Earl. He finds no comfort when his nose is stung by a bee, and when he shivers alone in the rain. Before long, Earl has no fight left in him. He longs for his old park, but will the other squirrels give him a second chance? Listen now and find out! • Story #2: “Pen Pals.” Dylan the squirrel wanted to meet a nice doe, but he was shy. So, he went to see the forest matchmaker, Mrs. Meddler. She had just the doe for Dylan—pretty and nice—but Dylan was too nervous to meet her. Mrs. Meddler suggests that Dylan break the ice by first writing to the doe. That’s how Dylan and the doe become pen pals. When it is time for them to meet face to face, the doe comes up with a clever way to test Dylan’s character and determine whether he is the right squirrel for her. What is the test?
