Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Book Preview:

#1 Colonel Percy Harrison Fawcett was a 50-year-old man who was famous for being the last of the great Victorian explorers. He was known for his unrivaled powers of endurance, and was believed to be immune to death.

#2 Fawcett was set to make the great discovery of the century—a lost civilization. The Amazon remained mysterious, and men had died trying to explore it.

#3 Fawcett was certain that the Amazon contained a fantastic kingdom, and he was not another soldier of fortune or a crackpot. He had spent years gathering evidence to prove his case, and after fierce battles with skeptics, he had received funding from the most respected scientific institutions.

#4 The press conference was held to announce the location of Z. Only a small expedition would have any chance of survival, Fawcett explained, and it would have to live off the land.
