This collection tells the story of first love and the feelings of being completely enamored with someone, only for the person to realize that the relationship can be no more than a period of temporary bliss between them and the other person. Unfortunately, things don’t always work out with the ones you fall for, and this collection has mainly served as a mediation to help Colangelo heal and grow after this whirlwind period in her life.

She only hopes some of these poems help spark the same sort of comfort and clarity for readers she experienced in writing this collection.
