First published in 1956, Dictionary of Poisons offers a unique look back at the timeless perils of poison. In their introduction, coauthors Ibert and Eleanor Mellan discuss the history of poison, from Biblical references to ancient Greek suicide and the historical evolution of homicidal poisoning.

They then present practical information about a wide range of poisons, from household products to misused medicines and more.
