SydäntälämmittäväRomanttinenSurullinenThe rhythm om the story was warm and welcoming, wagging forth and back in time with interesting characters and quirky undertones.I like how the book let the characters have hue, tone and space - no set good/evil, instead it let one read them as human beings full of a spectrum of wills, wants, and destructive chaos as well as creativity.The magic touches in the story do not take over, it is there more as a reminder of the powers, trust in faith or spirituality - a mundane, human and earthy kind of magic blended into the everyday.How the author describes the places and details also gives room enough for the own inner world to create the pictures inside the mind.The women in this book are written quite well, and I really liked how the book built on an understanding of different frames, times and rules applied to womanhood. Not overly dramatic, subtle enough to build the understanding in feeling instead of thought.Oh, and there are dogs in the book!In a good way!
