#1 I was determined to wake up at 5:30 every morning, even if it took me all year. I was able to wake up at 5:30, but my 9:30 bedtime snuck up faster and faster, and I had to make the choice between staying up late and waking up early.

#2 I eventually realized that I actually hated going to bed early, and I preferred to meditate, work out, read, and plan out my day later on in the day when I had more energy and attention.

#3 The same is true of productivity itself. It is one of the hardest things to do, and if it were easy, it wouldn’t be worth doing.

#4 Having a purpose behind your actions is just as important as achieving them. If you don't care about the changes you're trying to make, it will be difficult to sustain them over time.
