Each By Ear lesson begins with a full demonstration of each song, followed by a detailed “By Ear” lesson and then complete backing tracks to play along with as soon as you’ve learned your part! Every song in the By Ear Library is taught using an audio-only format: No printed music, tab, or videos will ever be needed for you to master your instrument, guaranteed!

A childhood musical prodigy, master instructor Bill Brown discovered at an early age anyone could learn to play musical instruments, even without being able to read music. At only thirteen, he began giving professional lessons to students of all ages, teaching to every learning style and skill level. After more than four decades of mastering a wide variety of instruments in order to engage with students from all walks of life, his complete audio lesson library is now being made available to the public in the most accessible formats ever. His By Ear Library currently includes over 1400 song titles, and numerous targeted concept courses, for more than a dozen different instruments. Bill Brown continues to teach private lessons at his recording studio in Valdosta, Georgia, with his wife, who is also an experienced vocal instructor.
