One will come who will be thrice cursed.

Once before, to prevent arrival.

After years of trying and failing to have a child, my parents were willing to give almost anything to conceive. They never expected that I would be the one to bear the cost.

Once at the beginning, to take away protection.

I paid the ultimate price with my name. Now I cannot have my own or learn anyone else’s. In a land where names hold the most potent magic, I’m feared and hated because of my curse, as if it could somehow infect others.

Once in choice of mate, whose vulnerability matches their own.

All my life, I thought I was the only nameless one. But he doesn’t have one either. And he has been searching for me.
