Hieroglyphs: The Language and Script of Ancient Egypt

The origins of hieroglyphic writing in ancient Egypt trace back to the dawn of Egyptian civilization, around 3100 BCE. These inscriptions aimed to ensure the safe passage of the deceased into the afterlife, indicating that the script held profound religious and cultural significance.
