Luca is a Prowler—an elite enforcer bred for loyalty, control, and obedience. His advancement trial was meant to test his readiness for promotion. Instead, an injury leaves him stranded in the Wilde, rescued by those the City calls dangerous and irrational.

He expects hostility. What he finds is more complicated.
