The Inheritance Lands

The Inheritance Lands is Anna King's third work of poetry. Following her collection Wilderness, which chronicles a family's attempt to establish peace in a conflicted household, The Inheritance Lands traces the final unravelment of a marriage. As the speaker grapples with the post-divorce landscape, she navigates the aftershock of abandonment, her own undiagnosed anxiety, and a traumatized child with a debilitating eating disorder.
