Cooperating Individual

Liberty Watson has spent her whole life trying to prove that where you come from doesn't define who you are.

Raised in San Francisco’s Tenderloin among criminals and hustlers, Liberty is inspired by the policewoman who once looked out for her. She dreams of wearing a badge and helping people in neighborhoods like her own.

But when Liberty passes the police test, the department rejects her. Then a corrupt drug squad makes her an offer: become their informant, betray the friends who protected her growing up, and take a cut of the profits.

Liberty sees another possibility: if she plays both sides carefully enough, she might uncover the truth. But can she prove that integrity can survive in even the dirtiest corners of the city?

Gritty, tense, and hopeful, COOPERATING INDIVIDUAL is a crime drama about courage, corruption, and one woman’s determination to earn the badge everyone says she doesn’t deserve.
