Boston Minister Henry Ware's book "Hints on Extemporaneous Preaching" is dedicated to the students in the Theological Seminary at Harvard. He writes to advocate on the Extemporaneous style of preaching that adds some spontaneity to preaching: and yet one that requires a preacher to be fast on their feet and opines that, "It has been my object to state fully and fairly the benefits which attend this mode of address in the pulpit, and at the same time to guard against the dangers and abuses to which it is confessedly liable."
