Isaiah

The Old Testament book of Isaiah, frequently quoted in the New Testament, speaks directly to the historical events of the late 8th century BC and beyond, and reaches centuries ahead to prophesy the coming Messiah and His future kingdom reign. Isaiah's message clearly challenged his own people and their leaders to rely solely on their God, rather than seeking help through alliances with other nations.
