Jules Verne

Jules Verne is widely regarded as one of the founding figures of modern science fiction and adventure literature. Writing during the nineteenth century, he combined scientific curiosity, geographical exploration, and imaginative storytelling to create novels that inspired generations of readers. Many of his ideas anticipated future technologies long before they became reality.

Born in France in 1828, Verne achieved international fame through his celebrated Voyages Extraordinaires series, which included classics such as Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Around the World in Eighty Days, and From the Earth to the Moon. His stories carried readers across oceans, beneath the earth, into the skies, and beyond the limits of contemporary knowledge.

This biography traces Verne's journey from aspiring writer to one of the most widely read authors in history. Drawing upon historical records, correspondence, and literary scholarship, it explores the life, imagination, and enduring legacy of a man whose works helped shape modern popular fiction. More than a century after his death, Jules Verne remains a symbol of adventure, discovery, and the limitless possibilities of human imagination.
