#1 Online type quizzes only scratch the surface of personality assessment. They typically base their judgments on the most elementary type theory, which pits introverts against extroverts, intuitives against sensors, thinkers against feelers, and judgers against perceivers.

#2 The world is actually much more complicated than the categories of introvert and extrovert suggest. Personality type is a reflection of how you process information and reach decisions.

#3 The eight cognitive functions are: Introverted Intuition, Extroverted Intuition, Introverted Sensing, Extroverted Sensing, Introverted Feeling, Extroverted Feeling, Introverted Thinking, and Extroverted Thinking. We all prefer using one of our perceptive functions over the other.

#4 Extroverted intuition, or Ne, is our idea-generating function. It dwells primarily in the future and gains energy through the exploration of abstract ideas and future possibilities. It enjoys brainstorming, speculating, and connecting ideas to each other using abstract reasoning.
