The Aeneid

The Aeneid is one of the greatest epics of classical literature, written by the Roman poet Virgil. The poem follows the heroic journey of Aeneas, a Trojan prince who escapes the fall of Troy and embarks on a perilous voyage across the Mediterranean in search of a new homeland. Guided by fate and challenged by gods, monsters, storms, and warfare, Aeneas ultimately lays the foundations for what will become the Roman civilization. Combining adventure, mythology, heroism, and profound reflections on duty, sacrifice, and destiny, The Aeneid celebrates the values of courage, honor, and perseverance. Virgil weaves together memorable characters, dramatic battles, and divine intervention to create a timeless story that has influenced Western literature, art, and culture for over two thousand years.
