The Drummer Ghost

In the secluded New England village of Johnsonville, Adrian Underhill, a recent university graduate, expects a quiet summer of polite society. Instead, he finds himself captivated by the sharp-tongued and enigmatic Marian Turner, a young woman who defies all his expectations. But his visit takes a far darker turn when Marian's uncle, the gaunt and troubled Joshua Turner, draws him into a terrifying confidence. The man is haunted not by memory, but by a relentless, invisible presence—a phantom drummer whose merciless "rubadub-dub" echoes through his home, chilling his blood and fraying his sanity.

As the spectral drumming grows more persistent, Adrian is caught between his growing fascination with Marian and his alarm at her uncle's descent into madness. Is Joshua Turner a victim of a supernatural torment, or is the ghostly percussion a symptom of a guilty conscience? In a somber parlor thick with fear, Adrian must confront a mystery that challenges his rational mind, while the relentless beat threatens to unravel not just one man's peace, but the very foundations of the quiet village itself.
