Avalon Blue, past sixty, hides the secret spiritual initiations that have held her hostage, forcing her to remain a loner traveling the world in eccentric clothes of her own design. She would much rather be with others, but is forced into isolation and loneliness until she travels to Winter's Lee, a small northern fishing village.
