I wish Scarlett St.Clair would write books in dual POV rather than writing two books with the same exact plot but from different a point of view. I would have loved to know Adrian's thoughts while reading this. I generally liked the characters, some more than others, Isolde is a nice MC, I really really like that she was a twenty-six-year-old woman instead of the same-old barely legal heroin, I liked how she was portrayed as middle-sized/not-starving and also loved her being mixed. Adrian is a lovely hero, I loved his humor and his personality in general. Weirdly enough, I loved the characters' names, they were a nice fit in the setting of the book. There is something about Scarlett St. Clair's writing style that doesn't do it for me, it simply doesn't work, it keeps me from really enjoying her books and I'm really bummed about it. If I had to put a name on it would be the randomness of the sex scenes, there's a time and place for them and this is not it.
