This is a lovely story. I enjoyed switching from Teddy to Arthur and back throughout the book. It gave the book some dimension and kept me interested as there were plenty of cliffhangers. However, even though the characters go through a couple of life-changing events, I thought the character development was still quite shallow, and that’s a pity, because it could’ve been so much more special had it gone a little more in depth.Overall the story was just an easy read with a great message. It’s very family oriented and covers quite a few traumatic and painful events, but they are also quite shallow and lack in-depth coverage. I would still recommend it though, if you’re looking for something cosy but controversial to read.
