The book is excitingly written and narrated. For me it was a real page-turner. I was surprised to see that the story it gives a bit of an insight into cultural ideas and inventions of the time. It made me stop and Google about quite a lot of broad topics.

Deze lijvige klassieker is geen moment saai. De verschillende verhaallijnen zitten goed in elkaar. Hoewel het boek al meer dan 100 jaar oud is, blijft het spannend en vol onverwachte wendingen. Echt een must.
