Critias

The lost city of Atlantis—told at the edge of myth and philosophy.

Critias is one of Plato’s most intriguing and mysterious works, offering a vivid account of the legendary civilization of Atlantis. Presented as a continuation of earlier dialogues, this unfinished text blends history, myth, and political thought into a captivating narrative.

Through the voice of Critias, Plato describes a powerful and advanced society that ultimately falls due to moral decline and divine retribution. The story serves not just as a myth, but as a reflection on ideal states, human ambition, and the consequences of corruption.

Perfect for readers of philosophy, mythology, and ancient history, Critias offers:

One of the earliest and most influential accounts of Atlantis A compelling mix of storytelling and philosophical insight Reflections on power, virtue, and the fall of civilizations A unique and unfinished glimpse into Plato’s thought

Mysterious, imaginative, and thought-provoking, Critias continues to inspire debate and fascination across centuries.
