C. H. Spurgeon was a British Baptist pastor whose work remains meaningful to Christians of all denominations. The father of the modern “mega-church,” Spurgeon is most famous for his pastorship at London’s Metropolitan Tabernacle, where he regularly preached to huge crowds.
