Pippi Longstocking

Pippi Longstocking is Astrid Lindgren’s most well-known and iconic character. The red-haired, freckled, and boldly grinning pirate-king’s daughter was created over many years of storytelling between Astrid Lindgren and her daughter, appearing in Lindgren’s literature for the first time in 1945.
