This is the one book to read, if ever you wish to educate yourself on Ancient Egypt. The book sets foot on every surface possible in these thousand-years fascinating (mostly) pharaonic kingdom. It contains all parts needed to get a fair view of life so far removed from us - and proves that people will be people, no matter where you look. A sense of humour, strict science, detailed accounts of slaves, scribes, priests, soldiers, farmers, pharaos... Simply put, the best book I've ever read on any ancient era. My only wish is to find equal litterature on other ancient, famous eras of our past.

Trevlig och kunnig exposé över den fornegyptiska kulturen. Lättillgänglig utan att bli ytlig.
