I've listened to a few of the author's books and so far this one was the worst of them. By the heavy handed way the author drums the story into you, using a second point of view only as a means to feed you the story and thereby killing all suspense, I can only deduce that this is one of her first works. It feels insecure and leaves nothing up to the reader's imagination, mapping out every chain of thought and pointing out the obvious, delivering platitudes in a tiresome way. If you want to give her books a chance, don't start with this one! Try "Strangers" instead.
