If you’ve played the game and been confused as to why Sylvanas had been doing the things she had lately, read this book… it was amazingly written and is my mind a requirement if you care for the lore of Warcraft. Now… to all the people who played the game and hated both the two latest expansions and won’t read this book (which honestly is likely almost all of them), I feel so sorry for you… But this completes the narrative of the game by so very much… in the game, we didn’t know what Sylvanas knew and she did so many questionable choices. Now, we get to see the other side, where she keeps stuff secret from everyone and even acknowledges how confused her people must be at some of her choices. All of that just completes the entire story, and I’m happy I got to see the infuriating side of the game before getting to see her side for real. It made me actually feel like a soldier in a war where you start to question your leader and then completely turn over and sympathize during this book.

As a long time player of the game and lover of the lore therein, I absolutely loved this book. It filled in alot of the blanks for me and it is very well written. However, some parts you had to played the game or read elsewhere to understand, bit those moment where few and far between. 10/10, recommended.

For a long-time player of the WoW-universe, I now find myself trying to find out more about the lore. I feel this book and the narration was so well written/spoken. 10/10 for sure!

I am also a big Warcraft-lore fan, and this book indeed explains who Sylvanas is and why she made her choices. A must read if you want to understand the depth of the character and anti-hero Sylvanas Windrunner.
