Self-compassion can be a tricky term, not to mention difficult to practice. We might mistakenly believe that it’s selfish or self-indulgent, or that compassion makes us weak. We may also have trouble extending the same loving kindness to ourselves that we so willingly offer to others.
We hear from self-compassion expert Chris Germer on why those beliefs couldn’t be further from the truth.
This episode is a brief excerpt from Chris’ presentation to participants in the Mindfulness Exercises Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Program at http://teach.mindfulnessexercises.com
Participants in this program learn directly from Mindfulness Exercises founder Sean Fargo, his team, and the world’s most respected experts in mindfulness and meditation. The unique, self-paced certification program is accessible entirely online.
