It was absolutely fun. But I have to say that having Beatrice constantly rejecting societal expectations, a lot of the time surrounding food and weight gain, something that I do think can just go in the trash, eat whatever you want! But constantly bringing up calories in the same swoop? I 100% understand the thinking. But it was not the best for me to hear as someone who is really trying to stay away from thinking about calories so just be aware that there is a lot of talk about it. I understand Beatrice's hangups when it comes to Austin's age and how she's been told for so long that she shouldn't take after her mothers artistic career. But at some point the only thing I can think about is " have you heard about therapy? "

This romance is yes; a romcom, predictable but also amusing and Im swooning over the male lead! The female lead is refreshingly feminist and up to date. This story is just as sweet as the pies that are living as a main protagonist throughout the story. Even if it has a lot of tropes as -handsome country stud, adorable grumpy cat, curious but friendly town folks , breathtaking landscapes and delicious pies it still is presented in a way that makes me dream away on a pink cloud and I do enjoy it from time to time. Superb narrator enhanced the experience! Enjoy 💜
