Dracula

From Transylvania to England and back again, this classic 19th century Gothic book has became a cornerstone for vampire novels and movies.

A masterpiece of the horror genre, "Dracula" probes identity, sanity and the dark corners of Victorian sexuality and desire. It begins when Jonathan Harker visits Transylvania to help Count Dracula purchase a London house, and makes horrifying discoveries in his client's castle. Disturbing incidents unfold in England - an unmanned ship is wrecked; strange puncture marks appear on a young woman's neck; a lunatic asylum inmate raves about the imminent arrival of his 'Master' - and a determined group of adversaries prepare to battle the Count and his insatiable appetite for blood.

Dr. Van Helsing and his accomplices begin the chase to track down the infamous vampire Count Dracula before he completes his quest of moving into England and further spreading the undead disease. Even with the garlic, the crosses, and the holy water, the Count manages to entrance a fellow lady vampire hunter and bring her to the undead side. Van Helsing and his group will stop short not even to death itself until they have conquered the most notorious villain of all time, the invincible Count Dracula.
