#1 The American Revolution was caused by the colonists not being patient with the British government, as they felt they were being exploited and treated unfairly.

#2 In the real world, almost every parent whose kids were already zoned for a good school would object to losing that preference. In fact, New York City has a Public School Choice program, but for the most part, kids in good district schools aren’t forced to leave, so there aren’t many spots available.

#3 One thing we can do to improve the education system is to fix underperforming schools. However, recent evidence shows that additional government spending on schools doesn’t necessarily improve student performance.

#4 There are two reasons why Elizabeth Warren-style school choice won’t solve the problem of low standards and poor schools: families would object, and there aren’t enough good schools to go around.
