सिकन्दरः यदा भारते क्रमणाय उद्यतः तदा तदीयः गुरुः अरिष्टाटलः उक्तवान् यत् भारतीयानां संन्यासिनाम् आशीर्वादं प्राप्य प्रत्यागच्छेत् इति । कदाचित् दण्डयात्रावसरे दश संन्यासिनः सिकन्दरेण प्राप्ताः । तान् दृष्ट्वा सिकन्दरः - ‘अहं प्रश्नान् पृच्छामि । यस्य उत्तरं तीक्ष्णतमम् अस्ति तं हनिष्यामि' इति । ततः किं भवति, कः संन्यासी तीक्ष्णम् उत्तरं ददाति, सिकन्दरः हनिष्यति वा इति सर्वं कथां श्रुत्वा जानन्तु । (“केन्द्रीयसंस्कृतविश्वविद्यालयस्य अष्टादशीयोजनान्तर्गततया एतासां कथानां ध्वनिप्रक्षेपणं क्रियते”) As Alexander was getting ready to go to India, his teacher, Aristotle, advised him to take blessings of the Indian sages before returning back.
